Application Store
The Application Store lets you browse, install, and manage Docker applications with a single click. No manual Compose files or command-line setup required.
Browsing Apps
Section titled “Browsing Apps”The catalog organizes applications by category for easy discovery:
- CMS and blogging platforms
- Development tools
- Media servers
- Monitoring and observability
- Databases and administration tools
- Communication and collaboration
- And more
Use the search bar to find specific applications by name or keyword.
Installing an App
Section titled “Installing an App”- Browse or search the catalog and select an application
- Click Install
- Configure the installation:
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Instance name | A unique name to identify this installation |
| Domain (optional) | Assign a domain to the app — Web.Casa automatically creates a reverse proxy |
| Auto-update | Enable automatic image updates when new versions are available |
| Environment variables | Customize app-specific settings (passwords, ports, etc.) |
- Confirm the installation
- Web.Casa pulls the Docker images, creates networks and volumes, and starts the containers
Installation progress is displayed in real time.
Warning: Some applications require privileged mode or elevated permissions. The App Store displays a security warning for these apps before installation. Review the permissions carefully before proceeding.
App Sources
Section titled “App Sources”The App Store supports multiple sources for application templates:
- Official source — curated applications maintained by Web.Casa
- Custom Git repositories — add your own Git repos containing app definitions
- Sync — manually trigger a sync to fetch the latest app definitions from all sources
Adding a Custom Source
Section titled “Adding a Custom Source”- Navigate to App Store settings
- Add a Git repository URL
- Sync the source to import its applications
My Apps
Section titled “My Apps”The My Apps section shows all installed applications and their status.
From this view, you can:
- Start / Stop / Restart applications
- Update to the latest image version (data volumes are preserved)
- Uninstall applications (removes containers, networks; data volumes can optionally be kept)
- View container logs and resource usage
Project Templates
Section titled “Project Templates”Beyond Docker apps, the App Store offers Project Templates for starting new development projects:
- Pre-built templates for common frameworks and stacks
- Framework filter to narrow by technology (Node.js, Python, Go, PHP, etc.)
- Templates include recommended project structure, Dockerfile, and deployment configuration
- Browse templates and select one
- Customize the project name and settings
- The template is scaffolded as a new project ready for deployment
Automatic Reverse Proxy
Section titled “Automatic Reverse Proxy”When you provide a domain during installation, Web.Casa automatically:
- Creates a reverse proxy host pointing to the app container
- Configures TLS/SSL if applicable
- Makes the app accessible at the specified domain
This eliminates the need to manually configure reverse proxy rules after installing an app.
